Schedule your consultation today and discover the non-invasive path to a more youthful, confident you.
Please get in touch if you have any questions about suitability for treatments. I ask clients to complete a medical questionnaire prior to treatments to determine suitability. I will then have a full consultation with you to discuss your suitability for the treatment.
Everyone is different, but most people find the discomfort to be less painful than the original tattoo. A patch test will be carried out in advance of the treatment course, and settings can be adjusted according to level of discomfort. You may wish to apply topical anaesthetic cream (‘Emla’ cream) in advance of your appointment – if applied 30-45 minutes before the treatment, this can reduce the discomfort.
There is no obligation to proceed with a treatment. I will carry out a full and confidential consultation, assessment and provide you with the information to make your decision. If you are still unsure whether to proceed, you will have time for reflection before any treatment or procedure.
This facility is not currently available as the software I use does not offer this, however I am hoping that this will be available in the near future.
Yes, all treatments with the exception of skin piercings, are suitable for age 18 and over. Clients needs to be 16 to consent to skin piercings (ID will be required), or children and young people over the age of 8 can undergo piercing with the consent of a parent. Full consultation will take place prior to piercings, and I reserve the right to decline to perform piercings if I do not feel they are suitable.
I pride myself on providing safe, effective treatments which enhance natural beauty, while maintaining the character of the face. I will be realistic about treatment goals and expectations, so that clients have a realistic expectation of their treatment.
Treatments should not be painful, but may cause a mild discomfort. Some people liken it to a prickling sensation, or to an elastic band snapping against the skin. Test patches will be carried out in advance of the treatment, and settings can be adjusted if the treatment is found to be painful.
In general, IPL is suitable for Fitzpatrick skin types* I-IV, laser can be used on skin types I-V. In general, darker skin types are associated with increased risk of pigmentation following treatment, so the patch test is extremely important to indicate response to treatment. As always, a full medical history is taken prior to any treatment, and risks and benefits will be discussed with each individual client. Another important point to note is that laser/IPL treatments are not suitable if there has been significant sun exposure/tanning(including fake tan) in the two weeks prior to treatments.
Unfortunately, none of the available treatments can be carried out in pregnancy or breastfeeding. However, please do get in touch when your pregnancy or breastfeeding journey comes to an end to discuss any treatments.
Please contact me directly to discuss. Adverse reactions are extremely rare, but if you are concerned about any symptoms you are experiencing, please refer to the aftercare information (this will be emailed directly at the time of the treatment)
All treatments carry risks, although these are small. These will be fully discussed with the client prior to undergoing any treatments, and time for reflection will be provided to decide whether to proceed.
We’d love to hear from you and will get back to you as soon as possible.
